President-elect Donald Trump and the majority of American voters made it clear the days are numbered for the reign of so-called “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” (DEI).
But if you think we’ve seen its last vestiges, you’re wrong. Our Ivory Tower “academic” types realize that without DEI, their existence is useless. So they’re desperate to keep it on life support.
That appears to be the reason why Indiana University is teaching its students they’re automatically either oppressors or victims based on their race, sex, religion, class and any other “identity” they can come up with.
A mandatory course, titled “Understanding Diversity in a Pluralistic Society” instructs none other than Social Work majors “about differences and similarities in the experiences, needs, and beliefs of selected minority groups and their relation to the majority group,” according to its description.
Colleen Rose, the social worker who teaches the course, seems to make students adopt Multiple Personality Disorder by writing an “in-depth reflection of two parts of [their] identity: one subordinate identity and one dominant identity,” according to the Washington Free Beacon.
How do students know which part of their identity is the bad, oppressive one? By taking a look at a chart provided, of course! Who’s listed as the most problematic?

You guessed it! Straight, White Men! (Along with the entire Middle Class and “Able-bodied” people.)
“I’m being punished through an assignment for my identity as a person,” one student complained in an interview with the Beacon, calling it “very rich that in a class where we are supposed to be talking about identity and not suppressing identity, I’m forced to suppress my own identity.”
He claims the racially divisive exercise forced him to “make something up” about who he is as a person in order to complete the task.
“I have to suppress myself because I’m presumed to be some privileged, horrible human being that didn’t grow up without food,” the student added, calling it “insane.”
But Rose’s assignment goes further.
After marking themselves on the chart of intersectional evils, students must renounce their bad identities and basically apologize for existing.
"You will gain insight into your experiences of identity in the U.S., including both advantages and disadvantages you have experienced related to these identities," the instructions continued.
"Self-awareness of identity, as well as experiences of privilege and oppression, serve as the basis for understanding the complexity of identity and how you can address issues of oppression,” they continued.
Students who subject themselves to this course in re-education will fulfill their "social and historical studies" requirement toward obtaining their college degree. Still– As woke as her syllabus is, Rose’s class does not satisfy a second degree requirement, titled “diversity in the United States.”
Students must choose between courses like "Black Women in the Diaspora," "American Ethnic Diversity," and "Sexual Diversity” in order to earn that mandatory badge on their Budenovka (I mean, graduation cap.)
