The “Trump Effect” continues to mark a new era of freedom, even for the companies and industries that were once ruled by the woke.
That includes Mark Zuckerberg’s big tech conglomerate, META. The company is taking what the Media Research Center’s founder Brent Bozell calls a “major step” from being one of the worst platforms for free speech to a platform centered “around free expression.”
Three days after announcing its plans to axe the company’s biased “fact checkers,” META is now terminating all of their major “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” programs.
"The legal and policy landscape surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in the United States is changing." admitted Janelle Gale, META’s vice president of human resources in a memo obtained by Axios.
Noting a “shift in how courts will approach DEI,” Gale claimed the term “has also become charged, in part because it is understood by some as a practice that suggests preferential treatment of some groups over others."

That is why the company is replacing its so-called “equity and inclusion” programs for new initiatives "that focus on how to apply fair and consistent practices that mitigate bias for all, no matter your background.”
Its race-based "Diverse Slate Approach" to hiring is also on the chopping block.
"We believe there are other ways to build an industry-leading workforce and leverage teams made up of world-class people from all types of backgrounds," Gale continued.
That means META will also stop considering the race and gender of the business suppliers they source. Instead, the company will "focus [their] efforts on supporting small and medium-sized businesses that power much of our economy.”
Zuckerberg’s 180 follows the shift marked by other major companies including Walmart and McDonald’s, which recently axed their DEI programs.
