The left is really funny. They’ll virtue signal all over the place, saying that they’re making their cities “sanctuary cities” where people illegally in the U.S. can seek refuge from actually having to face repercussions for their actions. But once you basically force the left to put their money where their mouths might be at the moment, they play up their own victimhood where none exists. They’re merely challenged to deal with their own rhetoric — something very few of them can actually do.
Outgoing Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D) sent a letter to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) on Sunday requesting that his office not send any more illegal immigrants to the city of Chicago.
“The City of Chicago is aware that the State of Texas is planning to resume bussing individuals and families to cities throughout the United States, including Chicago, starting Monday, May 1st,” Lightfoot’s letter to Abbott began. “I am, yet again, appealing to your better nature and asking that you stop this inhumane and dangerous action.”
No word on if Lightfoot has begun to give a crap about her “dangerous” inaction in not caring one bit about the violent crime that’s plagued the city in ever increasing numbers since she took office.
Remember, Black Lives Matter to a leftist…but only when someone white kills them.

Later in the letter, Lightfoot wrote that while she believes “Chicago is a Welcoming City,” she claims that “we simply have no more shelters, spaces, or resources to accommodate an increase of individuals at this level.”
After trying to appeal “to [Abbott’s] better nature,” she goes bi-polar and begins playing the blame game, claiming that Abbott doesn’t “see” or does “not care about the trauma these migrants have already faced and continue to suffer under the humanitarian crisis you have created.”
I’m sorry. Was it Abbott who made our border non-existent or was it President Joe Biden’s regime almost immediately upon grabbing power? And if things are so inhumane, as Lightfoot claims, wouldn’t she want the illegals to go to a place that supports them and their plight?
No, she doesn’t. And Lightfoot doesn’t, because that means she’d actually have to do her job instead of preaching about things with no intentions of backing up what she says.
Also remember, the left — and most politicians in general — talk the talk, but lack the mental capacity and intestinal fortitude to walk the walk.
