California Rep. Maxine Waters explained why she’s not willing to support a House bill to offer financial aid to millions of Americans struggling to stay float during the coronavirus pandemic, saying it’s…well, basically because she doesn’t like Republicans.

Speaking to MSNBC’s Joy Reid on “The Reid Out” this week, Waters slammed her fellow Democrats for working across the aisle to provide COVID relief to Americans who've lost their jobs, businesses and livelihoods thanks to COVID shutdowns, accusing her party of being “bullied by the president.”

"Either they are so afraid so intimidated so bullied by the president of the United States, they can't stand up for Democracy, and the Constitution. That is hard to believe, hard to understand," Waters said.

"But when people say to us, 'Why don't you negotiate with them on coronavirus-19 response, and help the people, why can't you come to an agreement?' Do you understand what we're dealing with?" she went on.

"We're dealing with people who’re willing to undermine their Democracy, people who have claimed to be patriots, people who don't have any respect for the Constitution, and you expect us to be able to sit down with them, and for them to negotiate with us in good faith?" Waters added.

"This is awful, the world is watching," she said.

Yes, it is. And it’s watching Democrats like Waters refuse to help the very Americans they’re bankrupting with their tyrannical shutdowns, all because they don’t like Trump.

So much for the party of compassion.
