On Wednesday, MSNBC’s Morning Joe was hoping and wishing that the Afghanistan catastrophe would “fade from the headlines” just in time for President Biden and the Democratic Party to make a political comeback before the 2022 midterm elections. The liberal wish-casting even went so far as to suggest “more and more people are going to agree with what he did” and eventually give him “credit” for his foreign policy.
With reports that the military was beginning to withdraw from the Kabul airport long before all Americans were evacuated from Afghanistan, Matthew Dowd made an appearance on CNN Tuesday to prove to everyone he was living in another reality. According to his Dowd, Biden deserves praise because he had allegedly done “yeoman’s work” and turned the situation around.
The liberal media are also panicking about California’s impending recall race for Governor Gavin Newsom. So panicked in fact, that they’re resorting to smearing a black Republican candidate as “the face of white supremacy” and claiming that his election would lead to an increase in hate crimes. MSNBC featured a guest claiming hate crimes would rise because Elder uses “dehumanizing terms” like “illegal alien” instead of “humanizing” terms like “undocumented."
CNN’s John Avlon was sounding the alarm for nervous Democrats. On Tuesday’s New Day, Avlon tried every excuse in the book to explain why this race was unfair to Democrats as he ginned up fear against conservatives. "First, because it's another Republican end run around majoritarian democracy. Second, because control of the U.S. Senate could hang in the balance," he said.
