Whether you’re a fan or former President Donald Trump or any other Republican, one thing is for certain that most can agree on — the Republican Party needs new blood leading the way, because the “old guard” seems to enjoy simply running in place.

Conservative civil rights attorney Harmeet K. Dhillon is reportedly going to be challenging current Republican National Committee (RNC) chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, according to Politico.

Dhillon reportedly said the following in a statement:

After three successive terms of underwhelming results at the polls for the GOP, all the while with leaders congratulating ourselves for outstanding performance, I feel that we owe it to our voters to have a serious debate about the leadership of the party and what we must change to actually win in 2024.

But Politico is reporting that Dhillon won’t be alone in challenging McDaniel to lead the GOP. MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell and Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.) — who put a scare into those who lead his predominantly blue state this past November when he came up short against authoritarian Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) in the midterm elections.

One would hope that a changing of the guard for the GOP would include straying from the status quo of doing very little to combat their left-leaning counterparts.
