Big Story: San Bernardino Shooting

The mass shooting committed by a Muslim couple in San Bernardino, Calif., this past Wednesday has dominated the headlines, igniting a national discussion about guns and terrorism. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.

Hot: Navy Football

The Midshipmen of the Naval Academy football program have unveiled brand new uniforms just in time for their annual rivalry match with Army, including some pretty awesome hand-painted helmets. The uniform includes the U.S. Navy's most famous quote “Damn the Torpedoes!”

Cold: New York Daily News

The Big Apple rag hit new lows this week by using their cover to mock people of faith who prayed in response to the San Bernardino shooting.

Strange: Krampus

Krampus is a silly horrifying alpine European Christmas tradition where adults dress up like demonic figures and frighten children into good behavior. Austria just issued a warning to refugees in the country about the tradition, just in case they see a creature from Hell hanging on the street corner.

Key Stat: .00004%

That's the percentage of all U.S. guns used in homicides. Food for thought.
