During a recent appearance on The Michele Tafoya Podcast, Media Research Center (MRC) President David Bozell lauded the upcoming Senate vote on the rescission package of federal cuts that includes $1.1 billion for the biased Corporation of Public Broadcasting.

“So every Republican candidate and nominee and president has pledged to do this, and here comes Donald Trump making the same pledge. And gosh darn it, he's going to do it,” Bozell said.

“He submitted this package in the rescissions bill, the first rescissions bill - Russ Vought (Director of the Office of Management and Budget) has said this will be the first of many rescission bills. So CPB is in this first batch.

Imagine Michelle Tafoya, what the Michelle Tafoya Podcast could do with $1.2 billion annually. You'd be breaking records, right? Because you have much better balanced programming than they do. They can't seem to muster up any audience at all, despite that huge leverage of the dollars that they have.

They’re making the rounds in Washington, D.C., as we speak. They're trying to survive. The bill is in front of the Senate right now. We do expect it to pass the Senate. By the end of next (this) week. And so we do expect CPB to be defunded and finally, the conservative movement can fulfill its promise that it's made to the American people for the past 40 years, and we're super excited about it,” Bozell added.

Bozell showcased a series of studies and documentation by the MRC that showcased the bias of the CPB. Watch the complete interview.
