NPR on Tuesday sued the Trump administration officials over an Executive Order that seeks to cut federal funding to the Corporation For Public Broadcasting

The suit was brought by NPR and three Colorado-based public radio stations, arguing the executive order violates the First Amendment and provisions of the Public Broadcasting Act. The filing also claims The that the president does not have the authority to stop federal funding for NPR and PBS.

“Needy public radio. Maybe that's what NPR should stand for. Look, I think it's a weak point to say that you have - it violates your free speech. You can still say whatever you want. You can still cover whatever you want - I don't have to be forced to pay you for it. It doesn't violate their free speech,” MRCTV’s Eric Scheiner said during an appearance on One America News Network Tuesday.

Scheiner later noted that NPR doesn’t represent unbiased news coverage,  “Uri Berliner, their editor, came out, you know, just over a year ago, saying we have 87 leftist editors, Democratic editors, and zero Republicans (editors) over at NPR. Well, what does that tell you right there? You're only getting one viewpoint.”
