While there are many on the left who deserve an ego check, one of the most deserving is disgraced attorney — and one time Democratic presidential hopeful of former CNN balloon Brian Stelter — Michael Avenatti.

You might remember Avenatti as the akin to an ambulance chasing lawyer who represented adult film star Stormy Daniels in her legal battle with former President Donald Trump.

Well, Mikey’s going to prison, and he’s not getting out anytime soon.

On Monday, Avenatti was sentenced to 14 years in prison “for dodging taxes and stealing millions of dollars from clients,” according to the Los Angeles Times. He’s already serving a five year sentence for extortion and fraud convictions in New York State.

The LA Times reported:

Avenatti pleaded guilty in June to four counts of wire fraud for stealing money from clients and one count of obstructing collection of federal payroll taxes from his Seattle coffee business, now defunct.

One of the law clients he robbed, Geoffrey Ernest Johnson, was a mentally ill paraplegic on disability.

Those same people aren’t saying much now. But, to be fair, most of those same people aren’t employed by their respective outlets any longer.
