I’m all for helping others, but I’m also for making it a priority to take care of my home first. If I don’t have a home, I can’t afford to help others. So this next story pisses me off to no end, and it should do the same for you as well.

On Tuesday, outgoing President Joe Biden announced the approval of “more than $1 billion in additional humanitarian assistance to address food insecurity and other urgent needs of refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and affected communities in 31 African countries,” according to a USAID press release.

“Armed conflict, extreme weather events, natural disasters, and other emergencies are driving humanitarian needs across the continent and requiring humanitarian assistance to save lives and alleviate suffering among the most vulnerable,” the press release stated. “Today’s announcement, yet again, demonstrates our firm commitment to stand alongside our African partners and people across the continent in addressing the challenge of food insecurity.”

“Natural disasters,” huh? But, we have federal employees — looking at you FEMA — who denied aid to those affected by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina because they might’ve been Trump supporters.

This continues the America Last policies of the Biden regime, and on top of using taxpayer money to subsidize criminal invaders and “refugees” living in the U.S., we’re now subsidizing refugees on other continents as well.

And here’s another blurb from the press release that’ll make you puke in your soup.

“In Fiscal Year 2024, the United States provided nearly $6.6 billion in humanitarian assistance across sub-Saharan Africa,” the release concluded, “but much more must be done by the entire international donor community to address critical and increasing needs.”

Biden spoke about the announcement in Angola on Tuesday. Notice what he says at the end of the clip. This seems like it's purely to score some kind of political points in a game that he won't be playing much longer.

Here’s a question: Do other countries send us money to feed our homeless, shelter our homeless veterans or aid those in need after a natural disaster?

No, I didn’t think so.

As said at the top, I’m all for helping people. But, at some point, people need to learn how to help themselves, because if you’re always subsidizing them they’ll never learn to be self-sufficient.

It’s also cruel to placate people instead of possibly teaching them how to take care of their own. Think about that.
