It really doesn’t matter who this offends, because as long as what I’m saying is true — despite whatever alternate universe anyone else might live in — then be offended. I don’t care. Nothing actually happens to you when you’re offended.
Conservative Party leader in Canada Pierre Poilievre joined Toronto’s Breaking News to talk about President Donald Trump’s declaration and subsequent executive order (EO) stating there are only two genders and whether he agrees with it or not. The news anchor also wanted to know if Poilievre would institute that kind of thing in Canada.
Poilievre is running for Canadian Prime Minister in the wake of current Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s resignation.
“If elected as Prime Minister, is that something you’re gonna, kinda, walk in line with?” the anchor asked. “Or, what are your feelings on that executive order?”
Poilievre responded in his typical fashion. For those of you not familiar with Poilievre, “his. Typical fashion means he doesn’t give the establishment propaganda media any quarter.
“Well, I don’t know. Do you have any other genders you’d like to name?” Poilievre responded.
The anchor was kind of taken aback by Poilievre’s response and just reiterated that he wondered whether he agreed with Trump’s sentiments and actions.

“Well, I’m not aware of any other genders than men and women,” Poilievre said. “I mean, if you have any other you want me to consider, you’re welcome to tell me right now.”
Obviously, Poilievre was playing chess with the anchor, while the anchor was playing checkers because he just didn’t grasp what Poilievre was trying to say, which is that there are clearly only two genders.
While the anchor was “brave” enough to admit that he is, in fact, a man, he did bring up that some people identify as non-binary and trans.
“I’m only aware of two [genders], but if you come up with another list, then you’re welcome to do that,” Poilievre responded. “But, I’m aware of two. And, as far as I’m concerned, we should have a government that just minds its own damn business and leaves people alone to make their own personal decisions. That’s the kind of government I’m going to run.”
