I don’t know exactly what to say about people like this next dude, except to say the social media line of, “Tell me you’re a racist without telling me you’re a racist.”
Episcopal Church Bishop Sean Rowe has been very outspoken since 59 white South African refugees were accepted into the U.S., and some might say that he’s taken his church to a very dark place (pun not intended).
Before I go into what a marvelous “man of God” Rowe seems to be, let’s just go over what he told ABC News recently.
“We can’t be ourselves in the Episcopal Church and take the step of resettling white Afrikaners from South Africa,” Rowe said. “Our church has a long commitment to racial justice and reconciliation.”

In essence, in Rowe’s eyes — and possibly in the eyes of his church, since he seems to speak for the whole church — not ALL people are children of God. Must be a different form of Christianity than I’ve ever heard of.
Also, for the whitest guy on the planet to be racist against white people is a take that tracks for those on the left. Just say your church is of the political variety rather than a place of worship and be done with it.
You might get a little more respect if you just say it. I’d still disagree, but at least you’d be practicing actual honesty for once.
Even churches have gone afoul in today’s society. It’s just a sad sight to see.
