Whether you like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) or not is irrelevant. One thing you have to give her credit for is the fact that you never have to wonder what she’s thinking or whether she’s grifting. With MTG, you’ll always know where she stands on an issue — or about a person — and not have to wonder whether she means what she says.
Again, whether you agree with her or not is immaterial.
During Monday’s House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic hearing, Greene absolutely blasted “Dr.” Anthony Fauci for his handling of the COVID-19 epidemic and his “alleged” lies and questionable methods that he’s said and employed over the years, particularly concerning gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) that was funded by his National Institutes of Health (NIH).
MTG went on for a few minutes referring to Fauci as “Mr.” instead of “Dr.” before anyone stopped her and attempted to “correct,” even though she was clearly doing it intentionally.

“Is it right for doctors and scientists getting by the American people, government taxpayer paychecks, to get patents where they’re paid millions and hundreds of millions of dollars in royalty fees, especially when the NIH and these government agencies — most powerful agencies in our country — are recommending medical suggestions and advice and making up guidelines, like six feet distancing and masking of children,” MTG began her question, referencing a recent New York Post article on the NIH. “Do you think that’s appropriate? Do you the American people deserve to be abused like that, MISTER Fauci?”
“Cause you’re not Dr., you’re Mr. Fauci in my few minutes,” MTG added.
Democrats, including Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), richly called for decorum and that Dr. Fauci should be referred to as “Dr.” even if someone’s opinion — MTG’s in this case — is that Fauci’s actions and words disqualify him from being classified as one.
