Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) just can’t help but stay in the news for one negative reason or another. Now it looks as though Crockett might face assault charges after a police report was filed with Capitol Police following an altercation with a reporter.

On Tuesday, Crockett was caught on video attempting to grab and/or strike a correspondent for Laura Loomer, Charles Downs. Downs was trying to ask Crockett about her comment that she wanted Elon Musk to be “taken down” and whether she condones the political violence against Tesla owners and dealerships.

That’s when Crockett lunged at Downs, attempting to grab his camera, which is a no-no and subject to possible assault charges.

“Charles told me Jasmine’s long finger nails scratched his hand, leaving a red mark and indentations from her nails on the top of his hand,” Loomer wrote in a post on X.
