It’s one thing to say that you weren’t 100 percent positive former President Joe Biden was in both a mental and physical decline during his terrm. But, if someone says that they never noticed anything concerning those declines, then you’ve either lived under a rock and don’t know who Biden is or you’re lying.
Axios writer Alex Thompson co-wrote a new book about Biden’s decline with CNN anchor Jake Tapper, and Thompson wrote about a part of the book on Tuesday that reveals the truth about Biden’s decline being worse than most of us ever thought.
Apparently, Biden was so physically addled in the last two years of his presidency that there were talks among his staff to possibly put him in a wheelchair, but they wanted to wait until after the election had he stayed in the race and won re-election.
It’s kind of sick if you think about it. If the man was so physically plagued that he needed a wheelchair, and they decided to wait because of the election optics, isn’t that a version of abuse?
According to the article:
Biden's team had increasing fears of a fall after he tripped over a sandbag at the Air Force Academy in June 2023. Aides then began taking many more precautions to avoid a repeat before the November 2024 election.
- They tried to figure out shorter walking paths, began insisting on handrails for steps up to the stage at his appearances, had him wear sneakers more often, changed his visual briefings before events to ensure he knew every step he was expected to take, and guided him more carefully through the movements.

Look, we all saw how the man, at times, couldn’t find his way off a stage, how he regularly stumbled and occasionally fell. We can dunk on Biden for all the ways people might’ve disagreed with the way he did things and his politics. That’s fair game. But, it’s just kind of sad that so many hid just how bad Biden’s decline was and is, all so they could stay in their cushy Washington D.C. jobs and keep whatever political power they so desperately clung to.
On the other hand, others might say that Biden’s decline is karma for a decades-long career of alleged corruption and toeing the Party line just to maintain titles.
Whatever the case, don’t act like we couldn’t see what the majority of us knew to be true.
