Leftist activists of any race or gender all have one thing in common — they are starved for attention. They talk about supporting free speech, but only when that speech lines up with their speech. Once again, ‘rules for thee, not for me.’ And their arguments never really make much sense, because if their professors didn’t feed the narratives to them, they have no idea what they’re talking about. That’s when the screeching and tantrums come in.

That brings us to Wednesday evening at the University of Memphis in Tennessee, where conservative group Turning Point USA (TPUSA) hosted speaker Kyle Rittenhouse to speak about the animus and lies directed to and about him after he defended himself from angry leftists in Kenosha, Wisconsin back in 2020.

Unfortunately, Rittenhouse’s appearance only lasted about 30 minutes, because leftists and racists — what’s really the difference at this point — reportedly “booed him, yelled and disrupted him,” according to WREG - Memphis.

And the activists’ reasoning?

“They’re portraying him like this icon for the gun people,” student Franko Coleman said, as reported by WREG. “We already have enough gun violence in Memphis itself, so having this guy come here and spread racist views and also talking about how we need more guns on the street … I think it’s awful, just baffling, that they allow this. Because this is borderline free speech, but this is more toward hate speech.”

Kyle Rittenhouse recounting his ordeal and what was done to him in the aftermath is “hate speech?” How so? And what does race have to do with any of Rittenhouse case? At the time, he was a 17-year-old kid trying to protect his community and shot three WHITE people who violently attacked him. So where does the “racist” part come in?

And notice how Coleman, the student, didn’t explain how or why Rittenhouse appearance was “racist” or denoted “hate speech.”

See, this is the problem. Activists, especially those on college campuses, have no idea what the h-e-double hockey sticks they’re talking about — usually ever. They get their information secondhand, and because their professors have successfully indoctrinated them, they get outraged to the point they act like an 8-year-old having a tantrum. They don’t care to hear what any has to say. Their minds have been made up for them, and they’re simply being the “good Germans” they’ve been taught to become.

How do I know? Once upon a time, I covered more protests — including on multiple college campuses — than I care to admit. And even though, after a while, you can almost predict what these “student activists” are going to say in response to any question, it still baffled my mind at the answers I’d get because they’d either be so incredibly insane or mind-numbingly stupid.

As the old saying goes, “a few bad apples spoil the bunch.” In the case of Rittenhouse’s speaking event, a few bad apples ended an event that people legitimately wanted to attend.
