Some people say “perception is reality.” And it seems that in the case of the U.S. military, that perception is leading to an interesting trend.
According to Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.) when he sat down with Jonathan Karl on ABC News’ “This Week” this past Sunday, the trend of service members re-enlisting because of President-elect Donald Trump’s nomination of Pete Hegseth to be the Secretary of Defense is on the rise.
Hagerty intimated that because of the Hegseth nomination that members of the military have reconsidered retiring or altogether leaving the Armed Forces in favor of re-enlisting.
“Pete is a very talented individual,” Hagerty said, as reported by The Daily Wire. “I talked with him earlier this week. He told me about how many people had written to him and said, look, I was thinking about getting out. You know we have a huge recruitment problem, a huge retention problem in the military. I was thinking about getting out, but now that you’ve come to lead us, Pete, I’m going to stay in.”
Hagerty also noted how there has been a mood shift among those within the military from despair to optimism.

“That’s the type of inspirational leader we need to see. Don’t let these allegations distract us,” Hagerty added. “What we need is real, significant change. The Pentagon has been more focused on pronouns than they have lethality the past four years. We need to get back to business, and I think Pete is just the person to do it.”

Well, it looks as though the days of trans people using the military to facilitate their mental illness — and let’s not get it twisted, the free “gender-affirming care” at the expense of the taxpayers is precisely why a lot have joined over the past few years — are numbered in favor of actually protecting this nation from ALL enemies foreign AND domestic.
