The left are cute, aren’t they? They trot out and like to claim the anyone that even leans to the right are a “threat to democracy” and that they foment political violence. Yet, time after time the overwhelming majority of violence in the name of ideology is done by some crazy person who aligns with who? That’s right. The left. (See what I did there?)

And now we have another example of threats of violence towards political opposition…”allegedly,” of course.

According to The Post Millennial:

Panos Anastasiou, 76, has been accused of sending over 465 messages through an online portal to the Supreme Court between March 10, 2023 and July 16, 2024. Beginning on January 4, 2024, Anastasiou "began sending messages intended to threaten harm and convey threats of harm towards Supreme Court Justices 1- 6 and Family Members 1 and 2," a court filing stated. He had also donated to Democrat fundraising platform, ActBlue, dozens of times, totaling over $700.

So, Anastasiou threatened six Supreme Court Justices, which the U.S. Attorney and Assistant U.S. Attorney won’t name specifically in the aforementioned court filing, and there just so happens to be six — generally considered — “conservative” judges on the Supreme Court.

Now, I’m not saying that coincidence makes it a fact. We don’t know for sure. But, that doesn’t take away from the coincidence existing.

In terms of the actual threats levied against the Justices by Anastasiou, they included “threats of assassination via torture, hanging, and firearms, and encouraged others to participate in the acts of violence.

Even embattled Attorney General Merrick Garland issued a statement saying that “Our democracy depends on the ability of public officials to do their jobs without fearing for their lives or the safety of their families.”

The Post Millennial’s Hannah Nightingale also noted the following:

If convicted, Anastasiou faces up to 10 years in prison for each count of making threats against a federal judge and up to five years in prison for each count of making threats in interstate commerce.
