Hopefully there’s more arrests to come, but eight juveniles have been arrested and facing murder charges in the beating death of 17-year-old Las Vegas boy, Jonathan Lewis.

The suspects range in age from 13 to 17, with the 16 and 17-year-olds reportedly being “transferred to adult criminal court” because of their ages.

If you remember, Lewis was the white male who attempted to step in and help his younger friend who was being robbed by the mob of approximately 10 to 15 black students. Lewis died six days after receiving a savage beating by the cowardly suspects. The beating was caught on video that has since gone viral.

“The video is very graphic and, in my opinion, is very void of humanity,” Las Vegas Police Department Lt. Jason Johansson said at a Tuesday press conference, as reported by CNN.

As for the younger participants, whether they are tried as juveniles or adults will depend on the verdict decided in a family court.

Authorities have called on the community to help identify anyone else that was involved in the beating.

“If you or your child or somebody you know has seen that video and recognizes anybody that may have been a participant in this senseless crime, you need to get ahold of us and our homicide section,” LVPD Undersheriff Andrew Walsh said.
