Oh, China. When will you realize that the only reason you’re the world power that you are is because you rip off the rest of the world’s genius? Communists aren’t innovators, they just take credit for the creations of better people. And yes, I’m talking about those directly connected to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), even though I don’t think I should have to explain that every time I talk about China. But, here we are.
Well, amid the “tariff war” between President Donald Trump and the CCP, we’ve all heard the chatter that China says that will not back down to the actions of the U.S. no matter what, and the CCP’s spokeswoman has now chimed in.
Mao Ning — go figure her name is Mao — the “Spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China” and the “[Director General] of Department of Press, Communication and Public Diplomacy,” posted to X on Wednesday, reiterated the Chinese line that they won’t back down from the U.S. tariffs.

“We are Chinese,” Mao said. “We are not afraid of provocations. We don’t back down.”
What?! Chinese people are Chinese? Since when?! (I kid.)
But that’s not all. Mao invoked her namesake by accompanying her words with an old video of Mao Zedong talking about not backing down to the U.S., saying that it’s up to the U.S. when the war with them is over, while simultaneously saying that the Chinese will “fight until we completely triumph.”

Well, we all know how that went back in the day. And they’ll be waiting a while yet again if they decide not to back down and negotiate.
