Most people with two functioning eyes, two functioning ears and at least half a brain understand where COVID-19 originated. But, for people in government, their understanding is only as clear to them as their agendas and narratives given to them by their superiors — or at least that’s how they make it seem.

According to letters obtained by Fox News Digital, both of the chairmen from the House Coronavirus Subcommittee and the House Intelligence Committee sent a letter to the “CIA and a former official” pertaining to “new and concerning whistleblower testimony regarding the Agency’s investigation into the origins of COVID-19.”

House Coronavirus Subcommittee Chairman Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio) and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-Ohio) wrote in the letter to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) that this whistleblower told them that the six CIA officers on a “COVID Discovery Team” “were given a significant monetary incentive to change their position” that the virus originated from “a laboratory in Wuhan, China” through a leak.

Fox News reported the letter as saying the following:

“According to the whistleblower, at the end of its review, six of the seven members of the Team believed that intelligence and science were sufficient to make a low confidence assessment that COVID-19 originated from a laboratory in Wuhan, China.”

“The seventh member of the Team, who also happened to be the most senior, was the one officer to believe COVID-19 originated through zoonosis.”

“The whistleblower further contends that to come to the eventual public determination of uncertainty, the other six members were given a significant monetary incentive to change their position.”

For context, “zoonosis” is defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as being “caused by germs that spread between animals and people.”

Wenstrup and Turner have reportedly set a September 26 deadline “for the CIA to turn over all records regarding the establishment of the COVID Discovery Teams; records regarding communications from those teams; all documents and records involving CIA communications with all members of federal government agencies including the FBI, State Department, Health and Human Services, Energy Department and more.”

Why is it that most Americans — and other people around the world, for that matter — can figure out the origins of the virus, but the government can never come to a consensus? One can only surmise the reason is political in nature, and admitting to what most people already know would contradict their initial narratives and subvert some any kind of agenda they may, and might still, have.

If the whistleblower’s claims turn out to be true, the answer seems to go back to the old adage, ‘Follow the money.’
