The makers of “Change the Whirlwind” dessert, in honor of partner Colin Kaepernick, Ben & Jerry’s needs to rename the flavor gone sour. It would more appropriately be called Caught in the Whirlwind of Scandal. Woker-than-thou Ben & Jerry’s has been exposed for using child labor, and Kaepernick is caught in the taint through his association with them.

Kaepernick, who has positioned himself as a human rights warrior, has egg on his face over this stunning development. So far, he has kept his yapper shut on this scandal. After killing his NFL career during the 2016 season, he has been bitterly denouncing America and police officers as racist, through documentaries, books, speeches and Tweets. Kaepernick used one of those documentaries to label the NFL scouting combine as slave markets. Talk about rich irony!

In 2021, Kaepernick raved about his partnership with the left-wing ice cream producers. The admiration was mutual. “We are so inspired by Colin Kaepernick’s bold activism for racial justice that we did what we do best: We whipped up a euphoric flavor to honor his work,” Ben & Jerry’s said of getting involved with the anti-American activist.

Kaepernick also posted a tweet about the partnership, talking about how “excited” he was to join the Ben & Jerry’s, team. He’s wearing Velcro lips now though over the child labor scandal.

The bad news came from the left-wing New York Times, which reported that Ben & Jerry’s is among a group of large corporations using child labor. The Times interviewed more than a hundred children in 20 states who validated the ugly truth. Children as young as 12 reported getting ground into exhaustion by 12-hour work shifts, and they were so exhausted they were missing school.

National child labor laws do not allow children younger under 16 to work more than three hours or after 7 p.m. on school nights, with the exception of farms.

A spokesman for the ice cream giant actually bragged to Fox News Digital about its opposition to “child labor of any kind whatsoever.”

Further irony comes from the fact that Kaepernick’s B&J profits benefit his woke Know Your Rights program. Unfortunately, the Ben & Jerry’s child laborers’ rights are off the table, not up for discussion.
