On May 31, Christian actress Patricia Heaton, star of "The Middle" and "Everybody Loves Raymond," made a suggestion on Twitter - maybe everyone should forget Trump, Roseanne, Hillary and Samantha Bee for five minutes and notice that there are Christians around the world who are dying for their faith.

Heaton, 60, tweeted, "Maybe we could take a moment and switch our focus from our dysfunctional political situation to the dying servants of Christ around the world."

Heaton linked to a tweet by African Christian Obianuju Ekeocha‏, who reproduced a photograph by documentary filmmaker Will Swanson. The photo showed, in Swanson's description, an "incredible image of a priest with ebola being prayed for from afar by his bishop in DRC [Democratic Republic of Congo]. There is an outbreak of ebola in the country but officials say it can be contained #EbolaDRC #DRC #Ebola via @arnoldkatako."

"This is the Church in Africa," Ekeocha wrote in her tweet. "Unapologetically faith-filled, dependent on God, humble, eager to follow Jesus. Archbishop Fridolin Ambongo of Mbandaka-Bikoro DRC praying for Fr Lucien Ambunga infected by Ebola while ministering to the dying. This is the Church I know."

Earlier this year, Heaton traeled to Africa as part of the humanitarian organization World Vision. She spent time helping South Sudanese refugees. “Still recovering from an intense trip to #Africa," Heaton wrote on Instagram "The strength of the people and the beauty of the land is staggering. Thanks to @worldvisionusa, @worldvision staff for their relentless dedication and sacrifice. And deepest gratitude to everyone at @nimaliafrica for their incredibly generous #Safari.'
