New York comrade — excuse me, Mayor — Bill de Blasio seems to be acting more like a petulant child than a petulant politician at this point. This guy typifies what the far-left does by employing the tactic of resorting to petty words and actions when they have no actual argument.

The New York Post reported that de Blasio plans to put up a Black Lives Matter mural outside Trump Tower in Manhattan.

According to The Post:

Plans for the mural — which will be painted in yellow block letters along Fifth Avenue between 56th and 57th streets — come as the city grapples with troubling surges in gun violence and illegal firework activity[…]

De Blasio hatched the idea a few days after Washington, DC, Mayor Muriel Bowser had “Black Lives Matter” painted along a street leading to the White House, according to a second source. The plan was finalized last week — after locations for the other murals across the five boroughs were announced on Juneteenth, the [New York Post’s] source said.

The slogan will be stenciled outside Trump Tower, where President Trump stays when he’s in town, sometime before July 4th weekend.

Black Lives Matter (BLM) the organization, not the sentiment, seems to be right up de Blasio's radically far-left way of doing things.

Over the weekend, a 2015 interview involving BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors was rediscovered in which she — clear as day — said that she and co-founder Alicia Garza are both “trained Marxists.”

While de Blasio focuses on trying to get under the skin of President Donald Trump, the city he was elected to run has seen a marked increase in violence. CBS New York reported that the city saw a “414 percent jump in the number of people shot — 74 [people shot in 2020] compared to 14 in 2019.

Much like elsewhere in the country, this no longer has anything to do with whether people think if black lives really matter. The politicians have done what they always do with every issue — make it about them and their narratives.

Black lives do matter, but not all black lives matter to the far-left — just the ones that can help them keep their cushy positions and make them feel better about themselves. Maybe that’s why the far-left gets along with the radical media so well.
