Planned Parenthood Targets Pro-Life Center Over Mobile Clinic Parking

Planned Parenthood reared its ugly, hypocritical head yet again this week when it targeted a pro-life pregnancy center for doing exactly what Planned Parenthood claims to support – helping pregnant women get safe, quality health care.

According to RedState, a Planned Parenthood branch in Idaho has filed a legal complaint against the Stanton Healthcare Center, a pregnancy center offering alternatives to abortion and run by a pro-life advocate, because the center dared to park its mobile clinic in the “common area” parking lot outside their own building.

Just to reiterate – the pro-abortion group that whines nonstop about how it’s so unfairly targeted simply for caring about poor, unsupported women is now taking aim at a pregnancy center that provides care to poor, unsupported women.

RedState notes in its report that Stanton Healthcare Center shares a building complex – and the accompanying parking lot – with a local Planned Parenthood affiliate. The abortion group has reportedly launched a volley of ridiculous and unsubstantiated complaints against the pregnancy center in the past, but hit a new low in its most recent allegation.

The lawsuit alleges that local regulations don’t allow the pregnancy center to keep their mobile clinic in the building complex’s parking space, accusing the clinic of “Regularly park[ing] a van/mobile home on the parking area of the Business Center Common Area, typically beginning Tuesday evenings and, at times, leaving Friday evenings or remaining longer.”

“To the best of Plaintiff’s knowledge, information and belief, the van/mobile home is used for a number of purposes, including ultrasounds, consultations and other activities. The Declaration does not permit such activity in the Common Area,” the lawsuit adds.

Let’s recap. A local clinic that provides care and medical assistance to pregnant women parks its mobile clinic – which are often used to take such medical help to women in low-income areas – parks their office-on-wheels in the parking lot of their own complex.

Meanwhile, a group that makes millions off abortions while claiming it wants ALL women to have easy access to medical care is going after them for it.

If Planned Parenthood really gave a rip about women having access to medical care, they wouldn’t care where the women got it from. They would be lauding Stanton Healthcare Center for taking pregnancy assistance to women who wouldn’t otherwise have easy access to it, not targeting them in court over for frivolous reasons. They’d be moving their own cars out of the way to make room for more mobile clinics to provide even more services to women in need. In fact, they'd be lining up in support of any quality pregnancy clinic, regardless of whether they provided abortions, simply because they "care about women."

But they aren’t. Instead, they’re taking a pregnancy center to court over an RV sitting in a parking lot.

This isn’t about health care. This isn’t about providing assistance to women. It's not about compassion.

This is about abortions, politics and money. It's about Planned Parenthood's primary revenue base being jeopardized every time a woman is presented with a life-affirming alternative to abortion. And you don’t need to look any farther than this ridiculous and petty lawsuit for further proof.
