Funny’s funny. I’m not saying President Donald Trump is funny all the time. But, there are moments where I’m thinking, ‘He’s having a great time being the world’s biggest troll.’ And there’s nothing wrong with that from time to time when a situation warrants it.
Trump spoke about energy at a rally in Louisiana on Tuesday, and the president didn’t mince words when it came to socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Sen. Ed Markey’s (D-Mass.) Green New Deal.
Trump actually called the Green New Deal a “hoax.”
“The Green New Deal. Everybody go home, you just lost your jobs," Trump joked with the crowd. "The Green New Deal. That’s a hoax like the hoax I just went through. I’m not even sure. It might be a bigger one, and mine was pretty big. Mine was unlimited.”
I don’t care what your opinion about Trump and any, at this point, impossible Russian collusion might be. That’s funny. Who says that?
But, the president wasn’t done just yet.
Under that deal, everybody in this room gets fired. All of the thousands of guys and women standing on these [stages] gets fired, they go home. Because under the Green New Deal, they don’t like clean, beautiful natural gas. They don’t like anything. They don’t know what they like.
They sort of like wind even though it kills all the birds. You wanna see a bird cemetery, go under a windmill sometime. You’ll see the saddest…You got every type of bird. You know, in California you go to jail for five years if you kill a bald eagle. You go under a windmill, you see ‘em all over the place. Not a good situation.
Don’t forget to tip your waitress, folks. The president will be here all week.
