Allegations of corruption toward the Biden family continue to heat up with President Joe Biden’s brother, James, denying being his family’s “fixer” in a rare interview with The Washington Post.

“I’m the guy who assists in everything. When it comes to my family, I try to be as supportive as I can,” James Biden said in a phone call with The Washington Post. “But this notion of ‘the fixer,’ or any reference that has a negative connotation, is offensive.”

“The notion I am some underworld figure, and I am a fixer or the cleaner, or I’m this or that,” he continued, “I’m a very concerned family member who tries to protect my family in every way I can, in what is a very ethical way.”

James “Jimmy” Biden, a healthcare executive, has appeared frequently in emails belonging to his nephew, Hunter Biden. The two have a close personal relationship, with Hunter once saying, “my Uncle Jimmy is my best friend in the world.”

Beyond their personal bond, the two have a highly intertwined business relationship.

Newsmax reported that James and Hunter Biden worked together on several failed business ventures. Statements from unhappy former business partners indicate that James Biden claimed “he would use the family name to bring in business, [but failed] to do so.”

Per CBS News, over 150 global transactions from Hunter and James Biden were flagged as concerning by American banks, including several large wire transfers.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) is among those concerned about the Biden family’s business ventures. According to bank records released by Grassley, James Biden was the recipient of $65,000 in monthly payments from a Chinese-financed consulting group in 2018, at the same time his nephew, Hunter, was receiving $100,000 monthly paychecks.

“We have people with the Biden name dealing with Chinese business people that have a relationship to the [Chinese] Communist Party,” Grassley told CBS, “I think it’s very concerning.”

In addition to the Grassley-led investigation, the Bidens face a probe by the U.S. Attorney in Delaware regarding potential violations of tax and foreign lobbying laws. President Biden has continued to deny involvement in his family’s business dealings, with his chief of staff describing Hunter and James Biden’s activities as “private matters.”

Considering his role as “the big guy,” in Hunter Biden’s emails, we have reason to be skeptical of the president’s account.
