“These people are the epitome of evil,” Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) declared today after the release of a video showing ISIS terrorists setting fire to a live Jordanian pilot.
“The only way to stop these barbaric thugs is to take them out,” Rep. Gohmert told the Conservative Commandos radio show today.
“They only know of one thing and that’s a show of power,” Gohmert said.
“Now, I don’t expect this president to ever get that,” Gohmert said, citing times Pres. Obama’s response to similar situations has been perceived as weak by America’s enemies.
The congressman called for the elimination of Islamic terrorists such as those who killed the Jordanian in the video, whose behavior puts them “beyond redemption”:
“It shows that you are beyond redemption and that you just need to be eliminated from this world and deal with your punishment in the next.”
“Everybody in the world knows that their ideology is radical Islam,” Rep. Gohmert said, apparently referencing Pres. Obama’s reluctance to use the term.
