Rep. Maxine Waters: GOP ‘Knows’ Trump is a Racist

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) took to cable news this past weekend to continue her argument that President Trump is a racist, and she is now claiming GOP lawmakers are aware of this racism as well.

“His Republican colleagues know that he’s a racist, they know he’s not capable of providing leadership for this country," Waters told MSNBC.  “They know that he has alienated our allies and they know he’s wrapped his arms around Russia and Putin. And so they cannot credibly come before the American public and defend him.”

Later in the broadcast, Waters added that the recent alleged “sh*thole” comments made in a meeting with lawmakers (denied by Trump and several lawmakers in attendance of the meeting) now allows the media to define him as a racist as well.

“Finally, the press and the media is able to use the word because he has so definitely defined that he is a racist.”

As usual, Waters rants head straight for her familiar territory of calling for Trump’s impeachment.

“They don’t want to do what the people elected them (GOP lawmakers) to do, and that is ensure that we have a president that is capable, competent and sane – otherwise should be impeached,” Waters said.
