It should be noted that I don’t care one tiny bit what members – or former members? – of the Royal Family do with their personal lives.

It should also be noted that for some reason, others do. Which, apparently, makes the following story some manner of notable event.

It turns out Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, are reportedly refusing to live in the United States until President Donald Trump is out of office. Which I’m sure rocks us all to our very cores.

And it’s true – or, at least, it’s true according to sources over at the Daily Mail and Page Six. The second-born son of Princess Diana and his American-born wife recently made waves across the Atlantic and beyond for saying they’re “stepping down” as official members of the Great Britain’s Royal Family, saying they plan instead to split their time between the U.K. and North America and will attempt to become financially independent.

Markle also reportedly just signed a contract with Disney to do voice-over work on a so-far undisclosed project.

But if you were looking to spot Harry and Meghan among the Beverly Hills elite any time soon, think again, as the couple has reportedly said they won’t move to the U.S. until Trump’s no longer president. Reports Page Six:

“It’s by no means an immediate thing but there is a long-term plan to end up back in the US with a second home in Canada, where they will also spend a great deal of time,” the source said.

But Markle, 38, has said she won’t move back while Trump is president, according to the Mail, citing her friends.

While this supposed insider information appears to be third-hand at best, it's not as if Markle has made the strongest attempt to disguise her dislike of Trump in the past. The now-princess once called him "divisive" and "misogynistic" back in 2016, before she married Prince Harry. Trump later responded by calling her comments "nasty."

So there you have it, folks. A prince from the country we once fought a war to break away from allegedly says he won’t move here because he doesn’t like the current president. Which I'm sure absolutely ruins your previously perfect Monday.

Keep calm and carry on.
