A Prince George, British Colombian teen has been sentenced to nine months behind bars for her part in a brutal attack of two young men that she claimed sexually assaulted her.
The teen, identified by Vancouver 24 hrs as "Ms. P," who was 15-years old at the time, was at a multi-day house party in January 2013 when she claimed she was assaulted in her sleep when she was in bed with another woman.
She awoke, and both her and the other woman said to have had the same dream of being assaulted in their sleep. A white iPod had been left on her body that she somehow connected to "Mr. P," says the presiding judge.
The judge wrote:
"Using what can be described only as deficient detective skills, Ms. P came to the belief that the assailant was connected to the white iPod that had been left in the apartment.”
The sleuthing eventually led to Ms. P and six other individuals to contact Mr. P and another man to confront them about the suspected assault.
Mr. P was demanded an explanation as to whether the iPod was his before all seven individuals attacked him.
The judge described the attack:
“The group closed and locked the door ... then continued to strike Mr. P with their fists ... another one of the co-accused struck him in the forehead with an empty vodka bottle and another kicked him in the face.”
Mr. P was then forced to persuade his cousin, Mr. W to the apartment after he convinced the group that he did not commit the assault. The group then attacked Mr. W while accusing him of the assault:
“Ms. P hit Mr. W on the head with a frying pan two times ... four of the assailants, including the co-accused, rolled him over, and one of the assailants removed his pants and sodomized him with a mop handle.”
Police investigated the sexual assault of the two young women, and were told that "nothing had happened."
Prince George, British Colombia has been rated one of the most dangerous cities in Canada in recent years.
