Could it be? Is the overturning of Roe v. Wade actually calling men and women back to chastity? Are people actually being encouraged to practice abstinence from sex outside of marriage?
The answer is yes! What’s more, in an almost comical turn of events, it’s liberal women of America who are leading the charge for purity in our nation.
According to the New York Post, pro-abortion protesters marched the streets of New York City on Saturday, calling for a sex strike.
“If you’re a man who won’t get a vasectomy, even though it’s reversible, and you’re not out in the streets fighting for my rights, you do not deserve to have sex with me,” said Brianna Campbell, a 24-year-old EMT who spoke with The Post.
“I think it’s absolutely valid for us to be withholding the Holy Grail that men seem to think is important,” said Caroline Healey, a 22-year-old event coordinator attending an abortion protest in Manhattan’s Union Square. “Why shouldn’t we withhold it if we’re always worried that they’re not gonna put a condom on, that they’re gonna take one off after we ask them to. If we can’t safely go out and have sex and know that we will have a choice after that, then why should we be expected to?”

The sex strike idea has been spreading like wild fire on social media. On Twitter, “abstinence” was trending with more than 26,900 tweets as of Saturday afternoon. Some women were citing sex as the power they hold over men.
“I live in New York and I am DOUBLE FURIOUS with the Supreme Court.” one woman wrote. “I want to find people who are coordinating a mass sex strike. That is our power. Women have the power here. No more sex until abortion rights are federal law.”
Another image was being shared online that read: “#SexStrike. If our choices are denied, so are yours.”
Far from discouraging me, this news actually makes me very happy.
The marital act is geared towards the creation children, so if someone does not want to have a child outside of marriage, why should that person go out and expect to have sex?
