New York Governor Kathy Hochul wants you to know there will be no bullying in New York’s public schools over face masks.

NO BULLYING, SHE SAYS!

"We will not have any tolerance for people who are questioning someone's personal decision to do what they want," Hochul declared Thursday. "If you want to continue wearing masks, you can continue wearing masks. And I don't want any issues relating to that."

"We will not stand for any bullying or ostracization or harassment of any individual or any business or anyone who chooses to wear a mask," she added.

And no, "ostracization" is not a word - the correct one would be "ostracism." But grammar is the least of the problems with Hochul's declaration.

Ironic, given that for nearly two years, Democrats in blue states like New York – and leftists generally everywhere – have launched a crusade against anyone seen not wearing a mask, from following them around stores with their camera phone to doxxing them online and even physically assaulting them in public, not to mention government bureaucrats kicking them out of public spaces or school officials suspending students who dare even to pull their mask below their nose. Businesses caught not enforcing indoor face masks were fined or shut down, while parents who protested school mask mandates were verbally harassed by school board members and forcibly removed from public meetings.

Ironic, also, that Hochul and her fellow Democrats also sought to bully people into getting an mRNA jab they don’t want against a virus that many people had already had, under threat of losing their job or being banned from restaurants, gyms, sporting events, concerts, and just about any other indoor recreational activity.

But when it comes to children whose parents still slap them with a largely ineffective face diaper just to go to school, there will be. No. BULLYING.

After all, the government is the only one allowed to do that.
