Biden Official Pressured Health Care Group To Back Sex Changes For Minors

Richard Levine, now going by the first name of Rachel, has faced significant criticism since transitioning to a woman and assuming the role of the Biden administration's top health official. Once again, controversy surrounds him...er, her...whatever.

According to the health organization Do No Harm, Levine pressured an international organization to drop age restrictions that would have discouraged doctors from providing sex-change drugs and surgeries to young children.

Email excerpts have been released from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health, indicating how staff for Levine urged dropping the proposed age limits from the group’s guidelines.

One might expect that as Assistant Secretary for Health, Levine would grasp the irreversible impact of so-called "gender-affirming" care on children. However, critics argue that Levine's political agenda takes precedence.

An opinion article by Debra Saunders published by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, argues that if the same procedures were happening in Third World countries, Washington policy wonks would refer to the practice as “mutilation.”

Here, advocates call it “gender-affirming care” — a classic example of doublespeak.

The article quotes Jay Richards, research fellow and director for the Heritage Foundation’s DeVos Center for Religion and Civil Society, who claims Levine's efforts were strictly political.

“It’s clear that Levine asked them to drop the age requirements for explicitly political reasons.”

“Levine worried that age restrictions would cause more states to pass laws protecting children.”

The revelation of his indifference to child safety is alarming, yet not entirely unexpected, given the broader leftist agenda aimed at gaining political control through the indoctrination of young impressionable minds.
