The death of Corey Comperatore was a tragedy, and people in Butler County, Pennsylvania - as well as around the country - are still mourning his loss, while also celebrating the hero that he was with tributes and donations.
Hundreds of people from Butler and the surrounding counties lined the streets of Freeport Friday to honor Comperatore as the former firefighter’s body was carried to its final resting place, and to support his family and friends as they navigate these difficult times.
Corey Comperatore’s funeral was today and hundreds of patriots lined a street in a rural area of Pennsylvania to honor their local hero.

Corey was k*lled on J13 by a Biden supporter.
Corey’s last act was protecting his family and his final words were “get down.”

According to an article by Trib Live, “The private funeral started at 11 a.m. at Cabot Church. A procession from the church will end in Freeport.” The Armstrong Regional Police also reported that traffic was restricted in the areas where the procession was happening.

Comperatore was a 10-year veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves, so 2,000 Patriot Guard motorcycle riders also participated in the procession in his honor.
Many people spoke about what Comperatore meant to them and the community.
“I’m here to honor a fallen brother,” said David Shaffer, a Buffalo Township firefighter.
“It’s so heartfelt to see the community and all the families coming out. I couldn’t believe all the love and support,” added Silvia Lowry, a friend of Comperatore.
In a world full of division, it is nice to see people coming together to remember the life of a true hero. Despite any differences people may have had, the community united to honor his memory.
