Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul was swarmed by a mob of protesters rioters while making his way back to his hotel after attending the Republican National Convention in Washington, D.C., Thursday night.
The Republican lawmaker kept his cool as he and his wife were escorted by police through the thick mass of people, at one point even stopping to check on an officer who was violently shoved by the crowd. Protesters screamed incoherently and shoved cell phones in Paul's face as he and his group tried to make their way through the mob.

Interestingly, Paul is the senator who introduced a bill that would end no-knock warrants, the kind used by police just before they shot Breonna Taylor to death in Louisville in March.
