Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sure is an expert grifter. The U.S. congresswoman from the Bronx and socialist sweetheart is now schmoozing it up at the most high-profile, elitist events on the planet, rubbing elbows with the wealthiest, vainest of people and yukking it up for the Hollywood cameras, all while telling us with her dress that she disapproves of the decadence of rich people.
For all her voters who say, “Oh she’s from the barrio like me! She cares!” Here’s more evidence that’s bullsh*t!
Yes, AOC was one of the stand out attendees at the Met Gala, a glitzy hollywood/fashionworld event where the elite try to outdo each other with avant-garde attire. AOC’s ball gown stood out, that’s for sure. Emblazoned on her floor-length white dress were the scarlet words “Tax the rich.”
Ah it would have been more appropriate if the message spelled out “hypocrite.”
Again it’s not that we care that AOC goes to fancy balls (though anyone who shakes hands and kisses the collective asses of the people who look down on middle America shouldn’t be trusted,) but for her to go and get the A-list treatment while winking at the poor minorities she claims to promote social justice for is all the more ridiculous.
Oh but maybe we’re being too judgmental. After all, Ocasio-Cortez told her flatterers from Vogue Magazine that her and her dress were showing “what it means to be working-class women of color at the Met.” Seriously? Does this chick think we’re stupid? As FoxNews.com clarified, tickets for the Met Gala “go for at least $30,000 each.”

Though it’s unclear whether AOC purchased a ticket, it doesn’t dispel the two-faced stench of it all. In an even more obtuse statement given to the adoring fashion bloggers, AOC added, “we can't just play along, but we need to break the fourth wall and challenge some of the institutions, and while the Met is known for its spectacle, we should have a conversation about it.”
Ah, but it’s not like AOC is doing a peaceful protest or being disruptive to the Met spectacle, she’s there adding to the spectacle of a bunch of rich snobs whose politics destroy this country. It’s clears she’s desperate to be part of their club and she uses slogans like this to confuse dummies into voting her back into congress.
That is the art of virtue-signaling in a nutshell. Even super lefty CNN contributor Ana Navarro called her out, tweeting, “going to an event for super-rich with ‘tax the rich’ written on your ass, won’t change a thing. It’s a stunt to justify her presence at an fancy shin-dig that doesn’t match her political persona.” Whoa, Ana, who knew you had it in you?
Not an @aoc hater.

But come on, going to an event for super-rich with “tax the rich” written on your ass, won’t change a thing. It’s a stunt to justify her presence at an fancy shin-dig that doesn’t match her political persona.

And dumb people like to say that Donald Trump is just another elitist even though he claims to stand by middle America, but you never saw the Donald skewer rich Dems in his speeches and then go hang out on the Oscars red carpet. The dude is persona non grata in Hollywood and AOC is beloved there.
What does that tell you about who actually stands for the little guy? It obviously isn’t AOC.
