People who intentionally break the law, especially in a country they don’t reside in, you should have to face the consequences. That might sound cold to some, but if I — or any other U.S. citizen for that matter — broke the law in our own country, we would definitely have to face the music. So why should it be any different for people knowingly violating foreign law?

Video has surfaced of a “suspected human smuggler” dropping small children over the border wall from Mexico into the U.S. on Monday near the San Luis Port of Entry. The event was caught on camera by a Yuma Sector camera operator, according to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) statement. One child reportedly suffered a facial injury during the ordeal.

According to the CBP statement:

At least one subject in Mexico was visible helping adult members of the family group over the top of the wall.  The subject then dropped two young children from the top of the wall to waiting family members below.  The subject retreated to Mexico and was not apprehended.

The group of six from Guatemala was a family unit, including three children: a 2-year-old, a 7-year- old, and a 10-year-old.  All surrendered to U.S. Border Patrol agents who arrived on scene.  One child suffered a facial injury, and was treated by agents. All were taken into custody.

Here’s video of the situation:

As reported by Breitbart, the section of the wall that was used for the people in the video to illegally cross into the U.S. used “older technology.” The 27-mile section of the wall has been slated for replacement in 2019.

There’s no word whether those that illegally crossed the border from Mexico into the U.S. were part of the migrant caravan. All those involved that have been taken into custody were taken to a Border Patrol station for processing. No more information has been released as of yet in terms of further consequences for breaking the law.

You can’t really be mad at the children, because they’ve been continuously used as pawns in the immigration debate. It just goes to show that people will do anything, including putting children in harms way, to illegally enter into the greatest country in the history of the planet.
