The Happiest Place on Earth is about to get the trans-tacular makeover no one asked for.

On the same day Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis casually threatened to plop a state prison just outside the gates to the House of Mouse in Orlando, Disneyland, the company's sister theme park located in Anaheim, California, announced it will be hosting its first-ever "Pride Nite" at the children's attraction this coming June.

Because nothing says "family friendly" quite like crossdressers and transvestites parading around in spandex.

"The first-ever Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite is coming to @Disneyland during Pride Month in June!” the company’s official Twitter account blasted out on Twitter on Monday afternoon, along with a graphic of iconic Disney characters dressed in colorful, spangly attire.

The announcement comes as the company continues their spat with the Republican-controlled state legislature in Florida that began with Disney pushing back against a law that prohibited public school teachers from teaching preschoolers about crossdressing and bans public school libraries from making porn available to seventh-graders.

While it's not yet clear what - if any - rules against explicit content might apply to the event, it's notable that most "pride" parades in cities across America regularly feature gay man in boding gear walking each other like dogs, crossdressing men sporting prosthetic genitalia, topless women, drag queens in stripper heels dancing in front of small children, and even pole dancing lessons for kids.

Then again, for a company that has already suggested it will include LGBTQ characters in all of its future content, we shouldn't expect them to put basic decency ahead of appeasing the alphabet mafia.
