The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) is probably going to be in the news cycle more consistently in the upcoming weeks, but not for any good reasons.
Thanks to a strong showing at the Epson Tour Qualifying School Stage at Shadow Ridge Golf Club in Palm Desert, CA , trans golfer Hailey Davidson achieved Epson Tour Status. This means that he will now have the chance to qualify for an LPGA card and start playing at the world's highest professional level for women’s golfers. His final scores from each round at this event were 70, 76, and 73.
This isn’t the first time that Davidson has infringed upon women for his own personal gain. He has had two major pay days this season; one was a $2,250 payout in January, the other was a $2,000 check in March.
But Davidson isn’t simply out on the course for pay days. He’s doing this in an attempt to eliminate laws that protect women's sports from transgender encroachment.

“I know what I can do within professional sports can hopefully knock some sense into people to stop hurting these (trans) kids,” Davidson said in an interview with OutSports in June. “My making money on a golf course is great and all, but what is really important are the lives of people being affected by this. I’m going to find a way to make sure that every single one of those laws are gone before I leave this earth.”
Did you catch that last part? He just said the quiet part about the mindset of transgender activists out loud.
Davidson won't stop at being accepted for who he says he is. He wants to destroy lines between genders. He wants truth, common sense, and laws eradicated from culture. It is not simply a game of just giving Davidson an inch of ground for the sake of keeping the peace, because Davidson is a ideologue who doesn’t want an inch. He wants a mile.
If the LPGA has any hope of saving its future and not going down the path of the NCAA or some high school sports leagues, it will change it’s absurd 2010 rule that does not require golfers to be born female to participate in the tour.
