While millions of Americans were busy celebrating Mom on Sunday, taking her out to dinner and showering her with flower bouquets and macaroni picture frames, at least one person over on social media was lamenting the fact that he – she? It? – was left feeling rather unspecial.

Because after all, when it comes to the trans community, it is all about making them feel included, even to the point of inconveniencing or outright excluding everyone else.

“There’s two different days in the year that I question,” a biological man with green hair and a baritone voice says in a video posted to TikTok. “There’s Mother’s Day and there’s Father’s Day. And as a trans person, as a trans woman, which one do I celebrate?”

Of course, in a world governed by sanity and science, the answer would be, “Father’s Day.” Because you’re a dude, and presumably you have children. But alas, science and basic sanity have long since been tossed out the bedazzled window.

“I don’t feel like a father. Mother’s Day is tomorrow. I feel like a mom, but who celebrates me?” the man continues. “It’s not a situation to pity me or anything, I just genuinely want to know, is there other people that…you don’t know which one you fall under? Are you a mom? Are you a dad? Where’s Parent’s Day?"

Firstly, it's worth pointing out that if you're a man who believes you're a woman but you're still confused about whether you should be celebrated on Mother's Day, that's a pretty good indication that even you know something is amiss in this arrangement.

But as for the question of which category you fall under, let me clear this up: if you’re a parent and you’re a biological male sporting XY chromosomes and external genitalia, you’re a father. If you’re a parent and you’ve got a double-X situation going on and you’ve got a taco where a man’s hotdog would be, you’re a mother. Being confused about your gender “identity” doesn’t change that.

And it certainly doesn’t give you the right to demand a separate day of celebration on par with Mother's Day just because you don’t know who you are.
