Say whatever you want about former President Donald Trump, the man knows how to promote and cut a joke or two. Or course, the left would probably say we now have proof that he’s a violent tyrant because he’s promoting violence by commentating the upcoming Evander Holyfield vs. Vitor Belfort boxing event. They’d take it a step further and probably call his comments during the promotional press conference ahead of the fight an insurrection — if they even know what that word means.

During the press conference on Thursday, Trump joined in by phone and took a couple of questions from the press.

Josh Peter of USA Today asked if Trump “had to box somebody on Saturday night, who would it be and what would the fight look like?”

In typical Trump fashion, his answer didn’t disappoint.

Trump: Well, if I had to pick somebody in the world — not only a professional boxer, cause I’ll take a pass on the professional boxers, that could be a very dangerous subject — but, you said if I had to box somebody?

Moderator: Anybody.

Trump: I think probably my easiest fight would be Joe Biden, because I think he’d go down very, very quickly. Very, very quickly. You know he once said, ‘Oh, I’d like to take him behind the bar.’ He’d be in big trouble if ever did. No, I think Biden would go down within the first few seconds.

If a set of stairs took Biden down three times — which is a technical knockout in boxing — saying he’d go down “within the first few seconds” isn’t out of the realm of possibility.
