Donald Trump said in an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on Friday that his tax rate is “none of your business.”

“It’s none of your business,” he said. “You’ll see it when I release. But I fight very hard to pay as little tax as possible.”

In an interview published Wednesday, he told The Associated Press that he would not release them until an ongoing audit is complete.

Trump sought to clarify via Twitter that he is waiting for the audit to be completed, "not [until] after election!" in November.

Trump’s tweet came shortly after Mitt Romney said that it would be “disqualifying” for a presidential nominee to refuse to release his or her tax forms.

“There is nothing that prevents releasing tax returns that are being audited,” said Romney in a Facebook post.
