President Trump issued a provocative warning to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on Tuesday after it was revealed that the rogue regime has successfully produced a miniaturized nuclear warhead that can fit inside its missiles.

"North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States," said the president, speaking to reporters at his New Jersey golf club. "They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen."

“[Kim Jong Un] has been very threatening beyond a normal state," he went on, "and as I said they will be met with fire, fury and frankly power, the likes of which this world has never seen before."

The Washington Post reported on Tuesday that according to a confidential U.S. intelligence assessment, North Korea has successfully produced a miniaturized nuclear warhead that can fit inside its intercontinental ballistic missiles.

After the UN imposed new U.S.-drafted sanctions Saturday on Pyongyang for its nuclear and missile programs, North Korea threatened “thousands-fold” revenge against the U.S.

"We are ready to retaliate with far bigger actions to make the U.S. pay a price for its crime against our country and people," Pyongyang warned via the official Korean Central News Agency.

Concerns over North Korea’s missile program have intensified after the regime conducted two successful intercontinental ballistic missile tests last month, said to be capable of striking the U.S. mainland.
