After being defaced and repaired several times, it looks like President Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been entirely destroyed for the first time.
According to local reports, someone took a pick axe to the president’s square late Tuesday night, managing to hack it to pieces. The star had been vandalized before, but typically only by sledgehammers that left scrapes and marks on its surface.
So this just happened again... somebody used a pick axe to destroy Donald Trump's star on the Walk of Fame. Still trying to learn more, but we know it's been vandalized multiple times, just never on this level. @NBCLA 📸: Victor Park/Loudlabs pic.twitter.com/lzq7YrsSRV

Jonathan Gonzalez, a reporter for NBCLA, tweeted multiple people saw the incident, but so far no one can identify the man responsible.
“Multiple people, including police, tell me a man walked up with a guitar case and pulled out a pick axe. Then, it’s believed, he called the police to report it but left before they got here. Now, he’s nowhere to be found.”
A Walk of Fame spokesperson told local reports that the star, which Trump was given in 2007 for his NCB show The Apprentice, will be replaced immediately.
