American taxpayer money is traveling to Kathmandu to fund transgender makeup artists.

The battle over raising the debt ceiling rages in Washington, D.C. - but in Nepal U.S. taxpayer cash is being used to assist professional transgender makeup entrepreneurs.

OnTuesday, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) put out the tweet below.

A little digging on the internet confirms that the $2,315 grant to “provide financial support to conduct English language classes to professional transgender women makeup entrepreneurs” was awarded to the Federation of Sexual and Gender Minorities Nepal.

The funding from the Department of State runs through the end of the month.

There’s no information if the grant is set to be renewed, cancelled or privately funded by Bud Light after May 31st.
