Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) on Sunday got in the face of a Chicago Cubs fan at a Milwaukee Brewers baseball game in Wisconsin after reportedly getting “razzed” by him and others.

Video of the confrontation shows Christie calling the fan “a big shot” and then walking down the stadium steps in pure frustration.

“I appreciate that,” the fan replied, as others laughed in the background.

According to WISN 12, the fan called Christie a “hypocrite” and “told him that he sucked.”

"When he initially was going up the stairs I yelled his name,” fan, Brad Joseph, said. “He was quite a bit passed me, and 30 feet away I yelled his name and told him that he sucked. ... I called him a hypocrite because I thought it needed to be said. He turned around back towards me and got in my face for what seemed like a long time, but was probably only about 30 seconds or a minute. (He) was yelling at me. First he told me, 'Why don't you have another beer?' which I thought was a decent come back, and I thought that was kind of funny. Then he started calling me a tough guy."

It’s unclear why he called Christie a hypocrite, but the New Jersey governor has not made things easy for himself as of late, deciding to lounge on a beach closed to the public during the state’s government shutdown last month -- an incident otherwise known as “beach gate.”

Christie’s son works for the Milwaukee Brewers.
