A viral video making the rounds on social media this week shows three women violently trashing a store in New York City as alarm sirens blare and a crowd of onlookers film the whole incident.

Film from the scene, which has become all too common in cities across the country, shows the moment when one young woman jumps the counter at a Bel-Fries restaurant while another throws objects at the thick plastic barrier separating her from the employee filming the attack, which took place around 4 a.m. on July 3.

The group eventually tore down the barrier and began throwing glass bottles and a metal stool while wrecking store machines and throwing merchandise, laughing the whole time as the crowd cheered.

According to the store worker, the whole incident kicked off because the women were mad that extra sauce cost $1.75.

“They wanted extra sauce for the fries, and when we explained that it costs $1.75, they got upset. And that's where it all started,” said Rafael Nuñez, according to Univision.

"We explained to them that this is a business rule and that it is the same for everyone, but they did not understand," he said.

Nuñez added, “I wanted to defend myself, but I couldn't find a way, because they are women…I thought about using a knife, or pouring hot oil on them , but none of that seemed appropriate.”

Apparently, the women destroyed the store’s computers and stole money from the register, all in full view of the camera. They also reportedly threw hot sauce and alcohol in another employee’s face and eyes. One worker reportedly landed in the hospital with head injuries.

One employee said she turned on the alarm in hopes of scaring off the attackers, but it didn’t work, adding that the crowd on onlookers stood back and laughed as the women trashed the store.

“The saddest thing is that everyone saw it as a joke and laughed. No one stopped them,” she said.

Thankfully, all three women have been arrested and identified as Pearl Ozaria, 27, Chitara Plasencia, 25, and Tatiyanna Johnson, 23.

According to the New York Post, the attack didn't stop with the restaurant.

Ozoria allegedly punched the arresting officer in the face and was charged with of assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct. Plasencia and Johnson have also been charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
