Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco hit hard at MTV’s Video Music Awards on Sunday when he pointed out the foolishness of leftist protection policies, that are meant to protect everyone’s feelings, during one of his skits.

“MTV, what they’re doing is they noticed that we’re living in ultra sensitive times, right?” Maniscalco started. “So, if you feel triggered or you feel offended by anything I’m saying up here — they’re providing a ‘safe space’ backstage where you’ll get some stress balls and a blanky.”

The comedian noted that country singer Lil Nas X’s horse would double as an emotional support animal for those who may need that service.

“Personally, I would remove you from the arena, put you in your car and send you home,” he told the crowd. “But, they opted with the safe space.”

Maniscalco also hopped on people who think participation trophies are all the rage. He made sure to let the crowd know that each category would only have one winner with one trophy, not multiples.

“This is not little league,” the comedian stated. “So if you don’t win tonight, I do have a little advice for you: Next year, work harder.”

Some of the audience appeared to struggle with whether they should laugh at the reality of what Maniscalco was saying or if they should hold in their laughter so they can make sure they didn’t offend anyone.
